BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team opens its northern campaign this weekend for its second to last tune-up before the Mid-American Conference Championship, traveling to the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational at Stone Ridge Golf Club. The 36-hole tournament begins Saturday, April 9, and continues to Sunday, April 10, with shotgun starts.
The tournament field features 10 other teams including Akron, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Oakland, Ohio, Toledo, Western Michigan, and Youngstown State.
The teams will play 18 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday in the 36-hole event. The course will play approximately 5,829 yards and par is 72. Live scoring will be available at Golfstat.com and via the Golfstat mobile app.
Last year at the event, Olivia Loberg (Bend, Ore.-Summit) carded a final round 77 to finish tied for fifth with a two-round total of 150. Overall, Eastern Michigan finished tied with Youngstown State for 10th in the team standings with a 36-hole score of 629 (309-320). Ball State won the team title with a score of 605, while Jenn David of Akron captured medalist honors with a score of 144 (73-71).
