MOUNTAIN SWEEP
After closing out the home schedule with a trio of big Pac-12 wins, Oregon continued its strong play on the road last week with three wins in the mountains. The Ducks kicked off the road trip by knocking off BYU, 4-3, behind Uxia Martinez Moral's comeback victory after dropping the first set. UO then pulled off another comeback in a 4-3 win at Utah on Friday, as Sophie Luescher won 7-6(6), 6-3 at the No. 1 spot and Karin Young came back to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4 to erase a 3-2 deficit. The Ducks capped off the trip by knocking off Colorado, 4-1, as Luescher, Martinez Moral and Young all completed perfect weekends in singles play by taking their matches to clinch the victory.

DUCKS HAVE DEPTH
Oregon has gotten solid play from a number of players up-and-down its lineup all season, as five Ducks currently have at least 15 singles victories. Its' the first time that an Oregon team has had at least five players with 15-plus singles wins since the 2003-04 season, while none of the five have more than eight losses and each has a winning percentage of over .650. Freshman Sophie Luescher leads the team in wins at 19-8 on the year, currently 12-6 in dual matches at the No. 1 spot. Fellow freshman Karin Young is 16-1, highlighted by an active 15-match winning stream - the longest by a Duck since at least 2000. Ares Teixido Garcia is 15-6 on the year and 10-5 in duals while Uxia Martinez Moral is 16-7 and Myah Petchey is 15-8.

DOUBLES IS THE KEY
Getting off to a good start has been important for Oregon as the Ducks are 12-1 when winning the opening point and 2-4 when falling in doubles. UO won each of the match each of the first eight times it took the opening point this season before falling at Cal after winning doubles. The Ducks won the doubles point in two of their three matches this weekend, taking the opening point against BYU and Colorado while overcoming a 1-0 deficit in the victory over Utah. Oregon has mixed and matched its doubles lineup, using 13 different pairs in the dual season.
