HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Public libraries statewide closed Monday following “an unspecified threat.”
Officials said the closure was out of an abundance of caution.
The library system said it is working with law enforcement, and libraries are set to reopen Tuesday.
A spokesperson said the Sheriff’s Department was made aware of a “vague threat” against libraries. A second-degree terroristic threatening case has been opened.
