Musical legend, Frankie Laine, will be honored on Monday, March 30th at Nonna in Little Italy with the unveiling of a six foot Frankie Laine bronze statue outside of the restaurant. One of the most popular entertainers of the 1940s and 1950s, and a longtime friend of the Busalacchi family, the statue will be unveiled by Joe Busalacchi, Frankie's wife Marcia LoVecchio and Jimmy Marino. The event will begin at 11am, offering complimentary coffee, tea and pastries for everyone in front of Cafe Zucchero, the all-day cafe located inside of Nonna, along with a video presentation in front of the restaurant showcasing Frankie's life. At noon, several speakers, including Joe Busalacchi, and San Diego city officials including 3rd District Councilmember Chris Ward will unveil the statue.
