COLUMBIA − Cole County Public Works will close part of Friendship Road Monday as part of an improvement project.
Friendship Road will close between Dogwood Trail and Ashbury Way. The existing culvert is on the Missouri Department of Transportation Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation (BRO) list as a structurally deficient bridge, according to Public Works.
Signs will be in place to alert drivers. Public Works encourages drivers to use an alternative route for the next several months while crews are working. The project is expected to wrap up by May.
Public Works also closed North Brand Road and Meadowsford Road due to flooding.
