Manchester City have unveiled a statue dedicated to club legends Colin Bell, Francis Lee and Mike Summerbee.

Sculptor David Williams-Ellis is behind the tribute, which is located on the west side of Etihad Stadium.

Bell, Lee and Summerbee made a combined 1,280 appearances and scored 368 goals for City.

They helped City win the title in 1967-68, FA Cup in 1969 and the League Cup and European Cup Winners' Cup in 1970.

Former England midfielder Bell, who scored 153 goals in 501 games for City, died in 2021 aged 74.

Ex-England striker Lee, who scored 148 goals in 330 City matches, died in October aged 79.

"This is a truly special moment for me and my family," said former England winger Summerbee, who scored 67 goals in 449 appearances for City.

"I joined Manchester City in 1965 and it is the best decision I could have possibly made."

Jon Bell, speaking on behalf of father Colin, said: "His bond with this club's supporters was truly exceptional and that he will be remembered in this way forever is something that our whole family is incredibly touched by and will take great pride in."

Francis Lee's son Jonny said: "My father enjoyed the most successful period of his career at Manchester City and to see that legacy immortalised in this way is so meaningful to his whole family."
