Little Star Pizza, a beloved deep-dish pizzeria, is closing its original location after nearly two decades in San Francisco.

The restaurant’s first home at 846 Divisadero St. will shutter at the end of the year, according to an announcement posted on Instagram Sunday.

“It has been a marvelous run, and an honor to have been a part of the Western Addition/Nopa/Alamo Square neighborhood,” the post reads.

Little Star’s other two locations, in San Francisco’s Mission District and Albany, remain open. The Star, a related pizzeria, has locations in Oakland, Alameda and Portland, Ore.

Since opening in 2004, Little Star and its thick, Chicago-style pizza have been a neighborhood staple. The restaurant later added thin crust and trendy Detroit-style pies.
