I visited the 'world's fanciest McDonalds' - it's decorated with elegant statues and sells posh cakes

A travel blogger has shocked her social media followers by showcasing the fanciest McDonalds in Italy - and it is even decorated with hand-carved statues.

Mikayla Bennett visited the fast food restaurant at the Piazza Di Spagna in Rome earlier this week, and took her TikTok fans with her in a short video.

Instead of the typical yellow arches and burgers and fries, this McDonalds had a slightly different vibe - and her followers said they 'couldn't believe how nice it was'.

Mikayla begins her TikTok video outside the restaurant, where the typically bright yellow McDonald's logo is instead a chic black and white.

The cobblestones of the Piazza Di Spagna continue inside the venue, while a Roman-esque statue is placed to the left of the entrance. As Mikayla walks further inside, the elegant decorations continue.

One wall is covered in colourful tiles, and another in a carved stone tablet.

Other parts of the fast food chain are more typical, with plastic seating and touchscreen boards on which customers can order their food.

But the McDonalds departs from the norm here, too.

It contains a McCafe area, which sells a selection of expensive looking cakes.

Some were amazed by the decor - and the food items on offer inside

Mikayla zooms in on the bakery for a moment, and a berry tart, chocolate cake, doughnuts and even macarons can be seen settled in a fridge cabinet.

One person questioned the menu, and she said: 'You can actually see their whole menu online but they offer tons of sandwiches and McCafe items that can’t be found in the US as well as Panzerotti.'

Others were amazed by the decor - and the food items on offer inside.

Ella said: 'I went there once! Couldn't believe how nice it was lol.'

Another person said the location was on their 'bucket list'.

A third person, Chloe, said the statue was 'everything'.
