Lexi Reed is trying not to be discouraged after she missed her weigh-in milestone by just a few ounces.

“I weighed in this morning at 200.2 lbs,” she shared on her Instagram stories Monday with a sigh. “So close, so close!”

“They say once you start getting close to something, that’s why it starts getting harder, right?”

But she took an optimistic approach, saying, “That means I lost .8 lbs this week, which is still amazing. And I have to keep reminding myself, like, progress is progress, no matter how small. I just know I worked really hard this week. But it’s okay, because I didn’t gain all that weight overnight, so I’m not gonna lose it overnight either. So keep going, no matter what.”

“I lost almost 4 lbs. last week, so obviously it’s going to be smaller this week.”

“I will get to wonderland,” she added, referring to the milestone of being under 200 lbs. “Whether it’s next week or whether next year. We’re gonna get there eventually.”

Reed posted a clip of her weigh-in — with the scale showing  200.2 lbs, — writing “I may not have hit a certain number, but I gave it 100% and that’s the real win.”

The fitness influencer has been sharing her health journey after her weight-loss progress was derailed by a debilitating struggle with calciphylaxis. It’s a rare disease which the Mayo Clinic explains is caused when “calcium accumulates in small blood vessels of the fat and skin tissues.”

It causes “blood clots, painful skin ulcers and may cause serious infections that can lead to death” — and for Reed, the often-fatal illness led to 59 weeks of treatment last year for painful wounds all over her body.

Just last September, Reed was in the hospital undergoing surgical debridement to remove the necrotic skin that was preventing her from healing more quickly, as she shared on Instagram.

Although Reed has said “I’m really pretty terrified that my calciphylaxis will come back as it’s happened to others with my disease," she says, "I refuse to let that fear control me or waste any days/time while I’m feeling well again.”

She filmed Monday's Instagram video in her car outside of the gym, where she and her husband Danny were about to do their regular Monday workout, and she kept the positive vibes going.

“Gonna get this workout done because never miss a Monday and ultimately, it’s you versus you. Today is a good day to start, today is a good day to show up, today is a good day to be better than you were yesterday.”

“Nobody can do it for you. You have to show up. You have to put in the work. You have to eat the healthy food, and drink your water and keep moving. Because all of those things will add up and get you to where you want to be. So let’s go!”
