A man climbed over a locked gate and destroyed a Buddhist statue, police said Saturday.
The suspect hopped onto the grounds of Sung Tak Buddhist Association on Pine Street in Chinatown on May 18 around 7:40 p.m., police said.
He then used an unknown object to smash a statue of Buddha before fleeing towards East Broadway.
