Jamie Foxx is a man of many talents. He’s an Oscar-winning actor, a Grammy-winning recording artist, and [checks notes] an amazing Donald Trump impersonator?

While promoting his new Netflix movie, Day Shift, alongside Snoop Dogg on the Rap Radar podcast, Foxx broke out his shockingly accurate Trump impersonation.

“It’s a lot of great people on both sides. Lots of great people on both sides. I know Harry O. He’s a great person,” Foxx said in a pitch-perfect Trump voice. Rap Radar host Elliott Wilson asked Foxx-as-Trump how he felt about Death Row Records, Snoop Dogg’s record label. “I love Death Row. Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me—fake news. I love Death Row,” Foxx crowed. Snoop Dogg and Wilson laughed along as Foxx continued riffing as Trump. When Wilson asked about his favorite Death Row Records album, Foxx’s Trump replied, “All of the Death Row records. Don’t try to pin me down. You see what he just…Excuse me, excuse me—fake news. They tried to give me the virus. I beat the virus.”

Foxx then snapped out of the impression and dropped into his normal voice. “He said they tried to…they tried to give him the virus. I was like, Who is they?” He switched back and forth between his eerily accurate Trump impersonation and his own voice with ease. “Then that motherfucker said, ‘I beat the virus!’ Everyone was like, ‘Fuck yeah, he beat it!’”

Foxx’s incredible Trump impression shouldn’t come as a surprise. After all, he got his acting breakout leading the sitcom The Jamie Foxx Show in the ’90s, and clearly has a good ear for tone given his phenomenal piano skills and genuinely great singing voice. If SNL is looking for a new Trump now that the former president is back in the news daily for reportedly storing classified information at Mar-a-Lago, Foxx should be on its short list.
