EUCLID, Ohio – Beach Club Bistro announced it is set to close this month.
Owner Greg Jurcisin announced via email and online posts that the final day for the restaurant, which has been opened 21 years, will be Saturday, July 23.
Beach Club Bistro is at 21939 Lakeshore Blvd., Euclid.
“With all the mounting, and seemingly endless challenges, facing the food service industry, we consider it to be a small victory that we were able to hang in there and serve you for over 21 years,” he wrote. “And we’d love to see you one last time to help us celebrate what we think is one of the best restaurants in town as we take one last victory lap!
“We invite you to order carryout or stop by one more time for our signature pizza, classic apps, with one of the best stocked bourbon/tequila bars in town.”
Over the years the restaurant has hosted everything from Scotch, cheese and wine tastings, an arts benefit and more. In 2005, The Plain Dealer called Beach Club Bistro “An arty oasis among the shot-and-a-beer bars that make up most area night life. Wide range of affordable wines, beers, martinis and scotch appealing to mostly the 30-plus crowd. … Cozy patio with a pond and portable heaters. If you’re hungry, try the calamari with banana chips and peppers or one of the pizzas with ricotta-stuffed eggplant.”
Gift certificates remain valid through closure, he added.
Reservations are suggested for the duration of the restaurant, which will be opened 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, noon to 8 p.m. Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 4 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
