Two Raleigh men were arrested after a protest against Confederate statues on the State Capitol grounds, reports ABC11, The News & Observer’s media partner.

Jody Michael Anderson, 22, and Enzo Moretti Niebuhr, 18, were charged with disorderly conduct and defacing a public building or statue, court records show. They were arrested Sunday.

Protesters on Sunday morning were near the Women of the Confederacy statue, putting white cloths on the monument and holding up signs, according to ABC11. Smash Racism Raleigh organized the protest against Confederate statues, the station reports.

This is a developing story.
