Priyanka Chopra recently talked about her daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas who was born premature. She is now one year old.
Priyanka Chopra in a new interview talked about the tough time in her life when she was close to losing her daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Malti, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' daughter, was born premature and was in the NICU for 100 days before the couple could bring her home. Talking about it, Priyanka recently said that her little one can get away with everything as she has got her wrapped around her finger. The couple welcomed their daughter in January last year via surrogacy. They did not reveal her name until the media found her birth certificate which mentioned her name as Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The names are tributes to Priyanka and Nick's mothers. After one year of Malti's birth, the couple revealed her face at an event.
Talking about not being able to celebrate much on her first Mother's Day after Malti's arrival, Priyanka told Elle magazine, “I’ve not been a mom long enough to be able to take the celebration, but I love to celebrate the moms in my life on Mother’s Day.” ”She’s got me wrapped around her finger. I don’t even know how I’ll ever discipline her because I just don’t have it in me. I was so close to losing her so many times that she can get away with anything and I just want to see her happy. I want her to be the happiest. She’s a super smiley, happy baby, and that’s all my goal is—to see her joyous. Every time she smiles, it lights up my world, and that’s all I want to do," she added.
On her first Mother's Day, Priyanka Chopra posted a long note. She said, “On this Mother's Day we can't help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we've been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced. After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home.”
She added, “Every family's journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is. We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children's La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way. Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a badass. Let's get it MM! Mommy and Daddy love you.”
Priyanka will be next seen in Citadel. She also has Love Again with Sam Heughan and Jee Le Zaraa.
