EUGENE, Ore. – The women of the Texas track and field program finished the 2022 outdoor season as the National Runner-Up after scoring 64 points.

The second-place finish was the best finish for the Longhorns since 2014, while adding another second-place finish earlier in the indoor season.

Texas began the day winning the 4x100 with a time of 42.42, tying the fourth-fastest time in school history. Julien Alfred, Rhasidat Adeleke, Kevona Davis and Kynnedy Flannel now have the five best time in Texas history, including the program record set in the semis (42.34). Saturday's win marks the seventh time Texas has won the relay and is the first time since 2006.

Later, Alfred perfected her 100m dominant season, winning with a time of 11.02. Alfred became the fifth Longhorn to win the NCAA 100m dash and first since 2009. She ended the day as a two-time National Champion.

Davis finished seventh in the event with her time of 11.22 to add two team points.

Kennedy Simon and Stacey Ann Williams added 10 team points after the 400m final. Simon added a bronze medal performance and earned her sixth All-America honor with her time of 50.69, while Williams added her fifth All-America accolade with a sixth-place finish (51.13).

After competing in the her first-ever NCAA outdoor final, Valery Tobias added three points with a sixth-place finish at 2:02.74.

Flannel and Davis later totaled nine team points after finishing fourth and fifth in the 200m dash. Flannel added her second First Team All-America honor of the day with her time of 22.35, while Davis became a three-time All-American with a fifth-place finish (22.50.)

After a historic freshman campaign, Ackelia Smith left Hayward Field as a two-time First Team All-American with a four-place finish in the triple jump (13.79m) and an eighth-place finish in the long jump of Thursday. Her mark is the best-ever by a Longhorn at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

The women's 4x400 relay finished the weekend with a second-place finish with a time of 3:23.35.
