Junior left fielder Max Ruvo (North Caldwell, N.J./West Essex) has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for games between March 22 through March 28. This is the second time (2/26/20) that Ruvo has been cited by the publication.
Ruvo went a combined 7-for-10 to lead Washington College to a Centennial Conference doubleheader sweep of McDaniel this past Saturday. The junior was 3-for-4, scored three runs, doubled, and drilled his first home run of the season in the opener. The left fielder followed that up with a 4-for-6 performance in the nightcap, a 13-12, ninth inning comeback walk-off win for the Shoremen. Ruvo slid home with the game-winning run after delivering a key RBI single to knot the game at 12-12. He scored three more runs in the contest and drove in two more.
Ruvo is ninth in the conference with a .417 batting average.
