NEW HAVEN — Someone vandalized a statue at Saint Anthony Church on Washington Avenue, police Sgt. Shayna Kendall wrote in an email.
Officers responded to the incident just before 7:00 p.m. Friday, Kendall said.
They found a statue knocked off its pedestal with a broken head, according to the sergeant.
The church did not immediately respond to a request for comment Saturday morning.
